How to measure your finger’s size.
The challenge in buying rings from online stores is knowing the size of your finger. Although you can always have your ring resized to snugly fit your finger after the fact of purchase, it’s simply such a hassle to go back to your jeweler just to do this. What you can do is to know the size of your finger before buying. Here’s what you need to do:
- Find a string or a strip of paper. Make sure it is long enough to tie around your finger.
- Wrap it around the base of the appropriate finger. Make sure the paper or string fits snugly. You should be able to slip the makeshift ring over your knuckle.
- Using a pen, mark the point on the string or paper where it overlaps to form a complete circle around your finger.
- Measure the length from the starting end of the string or paper to the pen mark. Use a ruler with a millimeter measurement.
